چکیده

In this paper, we consider the discrete-time mixed H2/H∞ filtering problem for affine nonlinear systems. Sufficient conditions for the solvability of this problem with a finite-dimensional filter are given in terms of a pair of coupled discrete-time Hamilton-Jacobi-Isaac’s equations (DHJIE) with some side conditions. Both the finite-horizon and infinitehorizon problems are discussed for the case when the initial condition of the plant is unknown. Moreover, sufficient conditions for approximate solvability of the problem are also derived. These solutions are especially useful for computational purposes, considering the difficulty of solving the coupled DHJIEs.

Optimal Filtering Scheme for Bilinear Discrete-Time Systems: A Linear Matrix Inequality Approach

The filtering problem is among the fundamental issues in control and signal processing. Several approaches such as H2 optimal filtering and H∞ optimal filtering have been developed to address this issue. While the optimal H2 filtering problem has been extensively studied in the past for linear systems, to the best of our knowledge, it has not been studied for bilinear systems. This is indeed su...

Continuous- and Discrete-Time Path-Following Design of Mixed H2 / H∞ State-Feedback Controllers

Among the few methods available to solve bilinear matrix inequalities (BMIs) occurring in control design, the path-following method, published some years ago for continuous-time systems, appears to be one of the best approaches, as far as linearization methods are concerned. However few details are given in the literature about its implementation. Here, this method is applied to the design of m...

H2 Filtering for Discrete-Time Nonlinear Singularly Perturbed Systems

In this paper, we consider the H∞ filtering problem for discrete-time singularly-perturbed (two time-scale) nonlinear systems. Two types of filters, namely, (i) decomposition; and (ii) aggregate, are discussed, and sufficient conditions for the approximate solvability of the problem in terms of discrete-time Hamilton–Jacobi– Isaacs equations (DHJIEs) are presented. In addition, for each type of...

Robust Mixed H2/h∞ Control for Systems with Stochastic Nonlinearity

In this paper, the problem of mixed H2/H∞ control is considered for a class of uncertain discrete-time nonlinear stochastic systems. The nonlinearities are described by statistical means of the stochastic variables, and the uncertainties are represented by deterministic norm-bounded parameter perturbations. The mixed H2/H∞ control problem is formulated in terms of the notion of exponentially me...

Robust Fuzzy Gain-Scheduled Control of the 3-Phase IPMSM

This article presents a fuzzy robust Mixed - Sensitivity Gain - Scheduled H controller based on the Loop -Shaping methodology for a class of MIMO uncertain nonlinear Time - Varying systems. In order to design this controller, the nonlinear parameter - dependent plant is first modeled as a set of linear subsystems by Takagi and Sugeno’s (T - S) fuzzy approach. Both Loop - Shaping methodology and...
